At EVOLVE, every program starts with a real assessment, and every session has a purpose. Our coaches are highly credentialed, mentored by a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and experienced enough to push you appropriately — and pull back when that’s the right call too.

What happens in the initial assessment?

Your first session is an assessment — not a hard workout. We’ll talk through your goals, injury and movement history, training experience, and what you’re hoping to get out of personal training. Your coach will also assess your movement patterns to understand where to start and what to prioritize.

From there, your coach designs your program before your next session. A progressive approach is central to our thinking, so we’ll start a level that makes sense for where you are now, and build over time. 

No. Personal training is a strength and conditioning service, not a clinical service. It’s not intended to diagnose or treat injury.

That said, our coaches are mentored by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and are trained to work around a wide range of movement histories and modifications. If you’re currently dealing with pain, we’d recommend starting with a physical therapy evaluation first. Once the pain is addressed, personal training can be a great next step.

Sometimes, yes — particularly if your physical therapist recommends ongoing strength training to promote healing and reduce risk of your injury coming back.

Your physical therapist can help you figure out the right transition at the right time, and then work with our coaching team to guide program design.

Your monthly membership secures a recurring spot with your coach and includes ongoing access to personalized support, programming, and adjustments. 

This model is designed to keep your progress moving forward while offering flexibility when life gets in the way. 

Memberships are purchased in packages of 2, 4, 8, or 12 sessions and renew automatically after you use all of the sessions. Sessions are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase, giving you a longer window to use them while encouraging consistency.

  • 2 session membership: $275 (approximately twice per month)
  • 4 session membership: $300 (approximately once per week)
  • 8 session membership: $500 (approximately twice per week)
  • 12 session membership: $700 (approximately three times per week)

We don’t, and it’s intentional. 

Health and fitness is an ongoing process, and selling sessions in one-time packages tends to encourage a short-term mindset that doesn’t produce long-term results. The recurring package model is designed to build consistency — which is where the real progress comes from.

We ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Same-day cancellations count as a used session — this helps us respect the time and preparation of our coaching staff.

Memberships can be cancelled with 7 days’ notice before your final session.

Yes — this is actually one of the main reasons people choose personal training over Foundations or EVOLVE Strong. Sessions are scheduled directly with your coach based on your availability, rather than fitting into a fixed class schedule.

Your membership also includes open gym access and EVOLVE Strong classes, so you have options on weeks when your regular session doesn’t work out.

Absolutely! While we often talk about how skilled our coaches are at working with individuals who are new to strength training, they are also pros at developing and supporting high level athletes. We’ve worked with professional endurance athletes, NCAA Division 1 athletes, and motivated non-professional Flagstaff athletes who want to perform their best.
