EVOLVE community support memberships

At EVOLVE, our foundation is community. We believe everyone deserves a place to move, connect, and feel supported, as regular physical activity in a stigma-free, community-driven environment is vital for individuals and society. Many, however, require guidance and accountability to train safely and effectively over time. High-quality coaching and facilities require significant resources, which can make these much-needed services out of reach for many. Although EVOLVE is our business, we have always struggled with the fact that those who need our services most often can’t afford them. We aim to continuously strive to bridge this gap and fight the inherent inequalities in health and fitness.

Right now, we know that many in our Flagstaff and EVOLVE community are experiencing financial uncertainty. If you’ve lost your job or are otherwise facing financial hardship, we see you.

Although we can't offer free services to everyone, we don’t want cost to be a barrier to participating in our community and accessing our services. This is why we now offer EVOLVE Community Support Memberships, designed to provide access to our space and services for those facing acute or ongoing economic hardship. These programs are for anyone whose employment has been affected by current economic conditions or who otherwise wouldn’t have access to our services.

We want to be clear: financial circumstances do not define a person’s worth. Every member of our community is valued equally. If you value our services, we would much rather you request a Community Support Membership than have you not access our services and community at all.

We trust our community and offer these memberships with no questions asked. We ask in return that you only apply if you are genuinely in need and consider returning to regular pricing when your financial situation allows.

We are deeply grateful for our community's ongoing support and committed to reciprocating that support as best we can. We know that these programs don’t come close to solving the problems facing our community and society, but we hope it helps and we will look to expand the support that we can offer in the future.

Open Gym and Class Memberships

We offer two discounted membership tiers:

50% Discount

  • 4 classes/month → $57.50

  • Open Gym → $42.50

  • No 50% discount for 8 classes/month; we recommend combining 4 classes/month with open gym. Open gym is available during class times.

25% Discount

  • 8 classes/month → $112.50

  • 4 classes/month → $86.25

  • Open Gym → $63.75

We understand that these discounted tiers may be a lower number of monthly classes than your desired or current membership level. This approach allows us to offer the program more widely. 

Additionally, we are not discounting non-recurring class packages, as utilization of open gym is our most accessible way to expand community access. Our goal is to support you in using open gym safely, effectively, and consistently

Foundations & Personal Training Memberships

Since these services involve more 1-on-1 time with our staff and have limited availability, discounts must be smaller:

  • 10% discount on current service packages

  • Switch to a lower-cost membership with coach guidance for independent training in open gym

  • $95/month personal training membership → Includes one session per month to create/update a training plan, provide movement instruction, and offer accountability

Membership Review Process

Discounted memberships will be reviewed every six months. This is a friendly check-in: “How’s it going? Is this still working for you?” rather “Do you still need this?” or a reassessment of financial need.

Community Trust & Program Eligibility

We trust our community and will not require proof of financial hardship. We also trust that members understand that our business requires resources to operate.

We ask that:

  • Those who do not truly need a discount refrain from requesting one.

  • If your financial situation improves, you consider moving to a less discounted or full-price option.

This program is intended for individuals whose employment has been negatively affected by economic conditions or who otherwise would not have access to our services. However, these programs are no-questions-asked. If you need this support, please don’t hesitate to ask. 

We also feel that it is important to note that we place no moral or ethical judgment on financial circumstances. All members of our community are valued equally. So, again, if you need assistance, please contact us.

Currently, there is no cap on discounted memberships, but we will evaluate the program periodically and adjust if needed.
